When do wasps come out?
During spring, various insects start appearing in gardens. One of the most common insects is the wasps. Wasps are harmful if their nest is touched. As the weather becomes warmer, the wasps start constructing their nests.
Wasp nest:
The wasps start appearing in the warm weather. They start constructing the nests in the early summer. The nests stay in one place for around 3-4 months if the predators don’t attack them. The wasps leave for a new place as the temperature starts dropping. The queen spends her entire life laying eggs in the nest. In early autumn, the final eggs are laid. These grow into queens next year.
Wasp nest location:
The wasps prefer to choose a place that helps them hide from the predators. The nest is built at a place that provides an ample supply of food and water for them. These nests can be found in any location, such as near treehouses, basements, roof linings, on the wall, etc.
Why do wasps die?
The wasps start disappearing after September. Various reasons lead to the death of the wasps. These are:
● Cold weather
● Nests get unusable as summer ends
● The predators eat the Queen as it is left exposed
● Queens can die if they are tricked by warm weather because they will come out to search for food and will die due to starvation
Risks of removing a wasp nest:
The nest present is harmless, but the wasps that reside inside it are extremely dangerous. If the wasp nest is disturbed, it will make the wasps angry. A sting of one wasp is not harmful, but it can cause extreme pain and can be deadly if all the wasps’ attack. It can be fatal for anaphylaxis patients, so they must not remove the wasp nest.
Removing a wasp nest:
There are various techniques available online that help in eliminating wasp nests. But, it is unsure that they will work. It is not easy to remove the nests because the wasps are dangerous. Otherwise, the wasp nest can be removed with the help of a pest control company. They can remove them without risking their safety and health.
